Samvatsarikam – First Year ceremony – Brahmins
Samvatsarikam is a four-day ritual observed for a departed soul. The first three days include Masikam, Vimokam, and Prathama Abdikam, followed by Navagraha Shanti on the fourth day.The eldest son, as the main Karta, performs Taddinam with the participation of family members and offers Danam to Brahmins as per his capacity to receive the blessings of the ancestors (Pitrus).
